Spring Break 2015: Galveston, Texas. Have I ever mentioned how much I love beach photography?

I've been experimenting with free-lensing, as you can see from the image on the left above. There is some great information and tutorials out there about free-lensing but I started with this great article by Ryan Brenizer and went from there. Basically, you disconnect your lens from your camera and use live view to manually focus. It provides a similar effect to a tilt shift lens but is cheaper and, dare I say, easier to manipulate.

I especially love this last one and I cannot wait to have it printed and use an encaustic treatment over matte paper.
